In grief, guilt is a common burden. I’ve often wondered why. The rational part of my mind understands that no matter what I did my father would have died, for example. And yet, the non-rational part of me wonders if I had just been a different person, or talked to him differently, maybe he would have lived longer. Maybe I couldn’t have stopped his death…
