Affirmation Button-Making Station

By combining art-making with positive identity-affirming statements, participants have the opportunity to create unique buttons that express who they are and how they show up in the world.

We provide blank button designs with identity or strengths-based affirmations such as:

• I am ENOUGH

• I am CREATIVE

• I am LOVED

• I am FIERCE

• My Strength is…

• My Dream is…

Participants then use crayons and markers to decorate the button designs. In doing so, they have an opportunity to absorb and integrate the statements while exercising their creativity. When the designs are complete, we use our button press to create a button that the participant can take with them and wear with pride.
