Envisioning Your Balanced Life

Does your day job make you feel as jumpy as a jackrabbit? Is your desired sense of connection leaving you feeling prickly as a porcupine? Do you feel overburdened like a turtle carrying the world on its back? What changes do you need to truly thrive?

Perhaps it’s a glimpse into what your Animal Island Utopia might look like.

In this workshop, we guide you through a series of fun art-making exercises designed to gain insight into different aspects of your life — work, health, connection and aspirations — and unlock what's needed to improve and find a better balance between them.

Facilitators - Athena Cooper and Stefan de Villiers

Online or In-Person Workshop - this hour-and-a-half experiential workshop combines art-making with opportunities to share and discuss discoveries as participants gain greater insight into the different areas of their lives. We suggest a maximum of ten participants in a workshop group.

For workshops conducted online, participants would need to bring the following basic supplies:

  • At least three sheets of blank paper (eg. photocopier or printer paper)

  • Pencil or pen

  • Scissors

  • Optional: Their favourite coloured mark-making tools such as pencil crayons, felt markers or crayons

For workshops conducted in-person in Calgary, all of these supplies would be provided.

What you don’t need to bring? Any concerns about your perceived “artistic ability” or level of “talent”! This workshop is great for anyone who wants to explore art-making and dive headfirst into the world of creativity.
